Top Tips for a happy hike with kids:
- Take A LOT of snacks and treats. Like double what you think you need.
- Go with friends – it really helped the children to be chatting all the way.
- Be prepared to take all day. The average climb is 3 and a half hours. It took us more than 7! There is a half way point on the saddleback where you could possibly split up and leave behind a group that were too tired to make it to the top!
